Sik Fan Lah! explores culinary adventures in New Zealand while highlighting the intersection of Kiwi and Chinese culture through a shared passion for food.
We were brought onboard by the brilliant team behind Sik Fan Lah! to create the show identity.
The Director came to us with only one note - "Let's keep it fresh." So, we skipped the old-school Chinese design vibes like brushstrokes and ink and went for a more modern twist to make sure the show connects with folks of all kinds in this modern world.

Our Cool Wordmark: The heart of our visual style is the wordmark we cooked up. We went with a sleek, bold sans-serif black font. It's modern, clean, and easy to read. This font gives our show a clean and fresh look to match our modern vibe.
Icon with a Twist of Chinese Flavor: Next up, we've got our iconic exclamation mark. We spiced things up by adding Chinese characters in a vertical style. It's a fusion of old and new that adds some character and sets us apart.
Getting Social: We also whipped up a bunch of graphics and stickers for social media sharing. It's not just about spreading the word; it's about building a community around "Sik Fan Lah!" online. The goal is to interact with the audience and make it fun!
The result? The identity is a mix of Chinese culture and a fresh, energetic style. "Sik Fan Lah!" is for everyone, no matter your background.
